Wahoo!! The Salt Lake County Library System has an ADULT summer reading program including prizes, a reading record, and a recycled art contest! I'm soooo doing it! My first book is Homefront by Chuck Logan, just because it is the one I found under my bed yesterday when I needed a new read. :) So far it's pretty good--nothing spectacular but not so bad that I have to skip right to the end. I finished our book club book while in Moldova and thoroughly enjoyed it, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it right now. I left it there for Taunya to read (I'm pretty sure I mispelled her name, but I know for sure her last name is Lasar--sorry).
Now I'm thinking about what I could recycle into art for the art contest . . . hmmm. I'm thinking something with fabric . . . Maybe inspiration will strike this morning while I'm cleaning out my clothes closet. I've come home from Moldova with a well-developed sense of guilt at the obscene amount of clothing I have in my closet. If I was wearing them regularly that would be one thing, but I don't, so there they sit, in messy piles or filling the hangers when they could be used by someone else. By the end of the day I anticipate 1/3 to 1/2 the clothing will be on its way to DI and I'll have a tidy closet and quiet mind. :)

so glad you are back. i have missed you. yes i too feel i have way too many clothes...that i NEVER wear! i need to de-clutter also.
It feels so great, Lori. I'm just about to load 6 bags full of clothes into Erin's car for a trip to DI and I'm simply delighted.
Thanks for Sams fun treat, he's been playing with it all day long. Sorry the hi was so brief.
yeah, I was sad I had to rush off to trim when sam was there. he's such a cutie!
I need to read Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui again. We are busting at the seams and all I do all day is reorganize my junk when I really just need to purge. So why did I go to garage sales today? I did get stuff I needed (vacuum, tripod, Vans for Isaac, BBQ) but I also came home with pink plastic shoes for me, and swimsuit for Leah, erasers in a tiny backpack that I'll be picking up over and over again until they end where they belong (the curb) and kids books. And then Donna brought over a load of stuff she got at a free garage sale. We split it 50/50. Need. To. Stop.
Glad you're answering your phone again now that you're home.
Hey Paula! Did you get a prize?? I'm doing summer reading with books that have nothing but fun to offer. mystery is my newest friend. After I finished the Talent Code. I loved that book. then lots of silly mysteries. I tried some "romantic mysteries" which were fun and then after a few books into the series....umm...a bit involved... I'm cleaning things up for a new type of fall living. Mom might come here for longer than just a stay and we have our first g-child in a month! Steph is looking so cute. I'll check my gmail more often. my real mail is jayna@musiclar.com
